Last week I shared a Reading List of reports, books, and articles, for folks interested in diving deeper into implementing, or deepening, a more community-driven approach to their journalism.

Following on from this, here are 15 further resources that journalists and newsrooms may find of interest as they develop, and enhance, their community-centered work.

Many of these sites are featured in my recent report for the Agora Journalism Center on Advancing Community-Centered Journalism. This list includes case studies, playbooks, and other tools to help journalism practitioners and educators in their work.

15 Websites and Tools for Community-Centered Journalists

  1. Toolkit from the Asset-Based Community Development Institute, DePaul University.
  2. Better News website.
  3. Community Toolbox, Center for Community Health and Development, University of Kansas.
  4. Digital First Responders report, Center for Community Media.
  5. Center for Cooperative Media on Medium.
