Here’s the 8 new Demystifying Media podcasts we dropped in the last year

Covering impoverished communities, opinion writing, and how to become an award-winning photographer were just some of the topics explored at the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication

Every academic year I invite leading media scholars and practitioners to join us on campus to talk about their life and work. Since January 2016, the Hearst Demystifying Media speaker series, the University of Oregon has hosted more than 50 multi-day site visits, with more to come in the year ahead.

We have explored a broad range of topics ranging from eSports to misinformation, engagement and solutions journalism, NGO communication strategies and many others!

As part of these visits, guest speakers will give a public lecture — which we record and distribute as a podcast — and also sit down in the studio with me to talk more intimately about their careers.
